Description

The Sign for Change mission is to address existing barriers and provide tailor made methodologies and educational activities to support students with hearing problems to develop their confidence and self-esteem, foster their identity and develop key competences to become the changemakers of tomorrow. The project will develop online courses for training the teachers working with deaf and hard of hearing students and also will guide the students to develop campaigns on their own.

Objectives

The project aims to achieve the following objectives:

– Develop an innovative educational model through Social Innovation Education that will allow teachers to adopt a new approach in teaching and learning for deaf students

– Provide role-models to deaf children by connecting them with the Deaf Community and particularly with deaf entrepreneurs, artists and scientists.

– Highlight and promote sign language as a tool for inclusive, innovative education.

– Bring deaf students from different countries together to connect and foster their self-confidence as they will view themselves as members of the broader Deaf community
