PermaLABS Project aims to incorporate the principles & ethics of permaculture into business and management studies which could lead to better equipped graduates capable of creating and leading more sustainable, innovative, and resilient businesses for navigating the complex challenges of the modern world. Permaculture is a design system that aims to create sustainable human habitats by working with, rather than against, nature.

The specific objectives of the project:
1. To conduct research and analysis to develop a conceptual framework that integrates the principles and practices of permaculture into business education.
2. To support teaching staff of Business and Management Schools to overcome the narrow conception of “sustainability”, “green entrepreneurship” and “ethical business”, and equip them with competences, tools and methods for integrating the permaculture concept into their courses.
3. To engage HEI’s students with permaculture inspired, sustainable business education, and as an extension equip them with green and transversal competences for ethical and inclusive business development.
4. To organize the real-life testing of the PermaLABS framework and resources and collect empirical evidence for validating its effectiveness as a robust approach for improving sustainable business education.
5. To raise awareness about the PermaLABS results and encourage their adoption and sustainability.
