IRENE-KALEMAKI

Irene Kalemaki is co-founder and business development manager of Stimmuli. She is managing multi-national and cross-sectoral consortia, developing proposals for EU funding and coordinating international projects. Since 2010 she has been working as a researcher and project manager on European research and innovation projects addressing social Innovation, civic participation, education and competence development, global sustainability and entrepreneurship. In brief, Irene
was a social innovation researcher in the TEPSIE project which was funded by FP7 to build the theoretical, empirical and policy foundations of social innovation in Europe; she was a key researcher in the NEMESIS project, funded by Horizon2020, with the aim to develop a pedagogical model on Social Innovation Education; she was the project coordinator of SavingFood, a project funded by Horizon2020 to develop a digital social innovation platform for preventing food waste; she was project manager and national coordinator   of WeHubs, a project funded by Horizon2020 to support women web entrepreneurs; Currently she is a project manager of the AfriConEu project funded by Horizon2020 to promote digital entrepreneurship between Africa and Europe. Irene is an external expert of the European Commission and member of the National Committee for establishing a Social Innovation competence center in Greece. She holds a Master and a Bachelor in International and European Studies and she is a PhD candidate with a specialization on social innovation and education.
